Laughter, silliness, imagination, physical play, outside time, music, movement, textures, rests, group meals, conversations, feelings, reading, so much learning and yes, they will get dirty. Below is what a daily flow will look like:

Inside Learning Centers:

The day is set-up with a Daily Routine that is guided by child interest and need. Young Children do not have a sense of time so they go by our cues (ten minutes before clean up time) and by what we are doing (Routine).  When nap mats are set-up they know what is next, there is security in knowing this adult is taking care of me.  We need to keep a core routine that gives children a sense of security and clear expectations so they know how their day will go. Routine Is what makes life easier! We will provide a broad array of stimulating activities within a framework of routines as well as spontaneous play initiated by the children. 

Accepting children ages 3, 4 and 5 as of August 2024.

No. We are a full-day program and we run 5 days a week.  We understand that some families and kids don’t need the full coverage, but it is available for those who need it. We understand there will be days you may not need care and want to keep your child home, and we encourage teacher communication on this.

Kalamapi’i PLAY School costs $1000/month.  All Childcare Connections and Preschool Open Door subsidies are accepted.
